Colourfields (series II) III
I’m a fairly neutral-centered gal when it comes to clothes shopping, and have noticed lately that my drawers are being taken over by gray tee’s and tan sweaters, eek. I still love the comfy neutral go-to pieces in my wardrobe, but will definitely be making a conscious effort to let some pops of color shine through this summer, with Lara Harwood‘s dazzling prints serving as inspiration. Some recent favorites are Anthropologie’s colorful, and oh-so stackable bracelets, and the always incredible range of shades offered by Essie (if I win the lottery, my first purchase will be every shade of Essie nail polish in existence).

I am marrying a beyond wonderful guy this August, and it’s finally starting to sink in that the big day is approaching. The past year has been pretty crazy with wedding planning, and I’ve found it’s nice to have one inspiring image to go back to, in making sure the entire look and feeling of our day comes together. From the start, I immediately choose Dufy’s The Opera, Paris as inspiration for our color palette, a painting which I fell in love with while working as a curatorial intern at The Phillips Collection in D.C.
