My Mom & I headed to Honeypie tonight, a Milwaukee favorite for homemade dishes made with local ingredients, for a little dinner, and a lot of pie. Thiebaud would be proud of the Honeypie dessert case—mixed berry pie, key lime, peach, blueberry, coconut, black bottom banana, strawberry, milwaukee mud, chocolate, grasshopper, cookies n’ cream, butter pecan—wish I could have tried each. I was defeated by a slice of the Milwaukee Mud Pie (and I consider myself a champion dessert-eater), and plan on going back soon to be defeated by yet another monster slice.
