How on earth has May sped by so quickly! This month has been filled with visiting with friends and family (some from as far away as India!), another birthday come and gone, and a new addition to the family……..meet, August! Three weeks ago, the husband and I brought Auggie home, a now 12-week old miniature schnauzer. Our little guy is already quite attached (as are we), and adjusting quickly to city life. We’re enjoying life with our handsome pup, and the fun and love he adds to our little family. His energy, and wiry terrier coat, remind me of Picasso’s The Dog, from Histoire naturelle by Georges-Louis Leclerc.

Talented Wisconsin-born filmmaker and wildlife-lover, Jordan Brown, was recently featured in the Washington City Paper, for his stunning footage and stills of the hidden world of insects, his subjects captured in Washington D.C.’s Rock Creek Park. Check out “Oh, You Bitty Things: Jordan Brown Documents the Lives of D.C.’s Bugs” by David Frey, at the Washington City Paper’s Arts Desk.
